Portland Tree Prints
I learned how to print log cookies from reading a book by the artist Brian Nash-Gill.
This is an ongoing project to document Portland’s five quadrants. These specimens were felled due to disease, expansion and/or other landscaping decisions. The rings are more than just records of age. They conjure up stories about piano lessons or the mess of pollen, worms and needles. Every print is a portrait.
